Puff pastry roses with apples and cinnamon icing
Crunchy and with a Christmas flavour, puff pastry roses with apples and cinnamon are the perfect dessert for every occasion: breakfast, snack, tea party.. A dessert that is easy to prepare and to eat while standing. Watch out for crumbs!

Rectangular puff pastry 250 g
Apples 2-3
Granulated sugar q.s.
Cinnamon powder q.s.
Icing sugar q.s.
Water q.s.

Method
Clean the apples and cut them into thin slices
Roll out the puff pastry and cut into horizontal strips using a pastry wheel cutter. Moisten the puff pastry with butter and add the granulated sugar, arrange the apple slices and add a little sugar. You can add flavour with a thin layer of jam.
Roll up the pastry and the apples, holding them firmly to form a rose.
Arrange the roses on a buttered baking tray and bake at 170° for about 30 minutes.
Prepare the icing with icing sugar, water and cinnamon.
Plating
Place a rose on a Samurai Gourmet plate and decorate it with cinnamon icing.
