Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Doses for: 10 trees
Ingredients
Eggs 2
Cane sugar 100 g
Sunflower oil 60 ml
Vanilla-flavoured cake baking powder 8 g
Wholemeal flour 150 g
Type 00 flour 100 g
Grated lemon q.s.
Dark chocolate 100 g
Trendy Drinking Straws
Method
Mix the eggs and sugar in a bowl. Add the sunflower oil to the mixture and continue to mix adding the yeast, lemon peel and, a little at a time, the flour. Roll out the mixture with a 0.5 mm thickness and cut out the shapes of trees to put in the oven.
Once cooked, leave the biscuits to cool down and then dip them in the dark chocolate melted in a bain-marie to create a cover and, after 15 minutes, apply the Christmas sugar decorations before the surface is completely dry.
After an hour your beautiful fir tree-shaped biscuits will be ready to be enjoyed!
Plating
You can present the Shortcrust Fir Trees with Trendy Drinking Straws. Put the melted dark chocolate between the straws and the back surface of the biscuit, so that as it dries it acts as adhesive. We recommend placing the biscuits with the Trendy Drinking Straws in the freezer for about an hour so that they remain perfectly attached.
